The method of generating revenues in business used by the several companies to sustain their enterprise is now replaced by newer kinds of business models to respond to the new internet commerce. Yet all these are necessary. A business model positions businesses in a more or less predictable value-chain and so determines whether and how a certain company makes money efficiently and effectively.

You’ve probably heard that your kid’s been skipping lunch just to save up for that new video game. Or has he been saying his prayers a little louder than usual just enough for you to overhear him wish for an iPod? These are things that the young ones would give an arm for these days. But how long can they stay interested with these modern gadgets? Would they serve as the best birthday presents? Would they look back ten years from now and thank you for the video game that they would not have any use for by then? And would they still be holding on to the iPod with the same reverence they used to have for it?
